What we are focusing on is the decision-making rather than detailed actions eg I would want the student to be able to show she has put sterile gloves on because of the underlying understanding of sterility etc.

What I do like about this video is that the birth is kept "simple" - no great dramas, medical equipment etc.Sarah Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00480597227427423793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-652950132925204088.post-31513707303414564502009-01-18T10:25:00.000+11:002009-01-18T10:25:00.000+11:00or the sound of the woman birthing?raeor the sound of the woman birthing?
raeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-652950132925204088.post-55214993452190139172009-01-17T14:36:00.000+11:002009-01-17T14:36:00.000+11:00hmm - maybe something from the view of a midwives ...hmm - maybe something from the view of a midwives consciousness - or minds eye? the temp of the room, the position of the woman, the reach for a warm towel, reassuring the woman and family/others, the pulse of the cord....these sort of things - there are more - what are we thinking at birth?
RaeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-652950132925204088.post-5853776509241659122009-01-12T10:35:00.000+11:002009-01-12T10:35:00.000+11:00regarding animation of birth in second life. When women are birthing in upright positions or in water we do not have such a graphic view of the fetus progressing. Mostly we know where the process is at from how the woman is behaving and perhaps the occasional peek at progress. So I think that the animation of normal birth should be reasonably straight forward, keep it simple.
I am sure we will talk more about this.Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02464510128406258242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-652950132925204088.post-45112049623689401792009-01-12T07:59:00.000+11:002009-01-12T07:59:00.000+11:00This is quite disturbing.
